37. Homecoming

I’d never run this fast in my life but I’d been looking forward to Mikhail’s homecoming. It had barely been three days since he told me he would be back and I was more than happy about his arrival.

When I reached upstairs, he was in the living room talking with some of the men. I didn’t care that I interrupted as I ran toward him. He saw me and wore a big smile on his face as he ditched the other men.

I jumped on him with more enthusiasm than necessary and he laughed, wrapping his arms around my waist as he picked me up and spun me around. I joined him in laughing.

“Damn,” he whistled when he dropped me back on the floor. “Who would have thought you’d miss me like that? I might just leave often so you’d hug me like that every time.”

“Shut up,” I said with a blush.

He held my hand and made me give him a spin. “You’re also filling out. I’m guessing Maxim is making you eat. He has an obsession with that.”
