The morning rolled in quite late today. Last night seemed to be the longest night everyone had in their lives. Even the simplest tasks like getting out of the bed and showering was a hard thing.
"Are you feeling okay? Is the temperature of the milk okay?" Luke asked Ruby as he rubbed her hair. They were now sitting on the couch in the living room. Luke had barely got her to get out of the bed to begin the day. He understood that Ruby was beyond devastated about her parents and he had to be very patient with her.
Ruby took the glass and nodded her head and went on to have milk in silence, while Luke sat beside her and checked his phone. There were messages from Leo and Gabriel. They had told him that they all would swing by his house later in the day. They surely had a lot to talk about.

Ruby kept humming a song that she had heard on the radio while going to the maternity classes with Luke. Anna woke up earlier than usual today as she had some plans. She did not bother informing her husband about going out.
