He rolls his eyes forward again. Even though he's already running at full speed, the soldier seems to get a burst of adrenaline as he picks up the pace even more.

But it's no use. When Parsons looks back at the thing chasing him, it has already begun to close the distance. And he was joined by others of his kind.

"Oh God," whimpers Parsons.

My throat goes dry as I watch. My heart pounds in fearful anticipation of the inevitable end I know we are about to witness. Around me, the other Marines are deathly silent as they watch.

"Help me!" he screams. His voice is desperate. "Please, someone help..."
