28: Prove It

Once we made it back to the cottage, I followed Jillie inside. Walking into the kitchen, I took two blood packages from the refrigerator. After pouring them into a cup, I placed it in the microwave. When it was done, I took it out, downing it before putting the cup into the sink.

           Walking into the bedroom, I found Jillie sitting at the end of the bed, removing her shoes. Going over, I untied the back of her dress for her.

“I’m going to go get in the shower.”

“Okay, babe.”

           I began to strip down to my boxers as she grabbed some things from her luggage and entered the bathroom. Lying on the bed, I folded my hands behind my head and closed my eyes. I wasn’t sure how long I lay there, but I heard the shower go off. A few minutes later, I heard the door open.

“Jarren.”
