17. A Maniac

"Officer. She has been missing for more than a couple of days. Please find her," I shouted on the phone as I talked to the police officer.

I had to find my Raahi, I had to find my daughter. Where could she even go leaving me like this? Has she no idea about the consequences? How could she be so naive?

"We're trying to find her. But it seems like she ran away on her own," the officer replied, irking me more.

"So? Your job is to find her," I scoffed.

"Not if she has walked away of her own will," he replied.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

I was frustrated at the officer's behaviour.

"Well, I checked on to your records and whatever I have found out, compels me to not search for her at this moment of time," he spoke.

"Look. Don't twirl your words like a merry go round. Speak to the point," I sneered.
