"Hi, Li," Harper greeted with a noticeable lack of happiness in her tone.

"You took a while to call. Remember, I mentioned I wouldn't call unless you did," she mentioned, and a wave of guilt washed over me. I knew Harper would have reached out had the situation been reversed.

"I apologise, Harper," I conveyed over the phone, to which she let out a sigh.

"Don't worry. I understand that you all have hectic schedules," she responded, her voice tinged with a sense of yearning.

"Did you really ask Father if you could join us in Grizlo, and he declined?" I blurted out.

"I did. I approached him after the selection was finalised. I had hoped to be on Justin's team, Li, but he turned me down. He told me to wait for the next group. Then Elisabeth's team was assembled, and my name was nowhere to be found. I can't fathom why he's behaving this way. I might be a delta, but I'm fully capable," she said, her voice wavering with the threat of tears, as I anticipated she would mention.

everyone is starting to bore me with the not trusting Caspian issue. should they continue like this, Charlotte will be the one to suffer because at the end of the day no one would want to work with people who hold back from them
