More Secrets

The air around Daphne and her kids was chilly and quiet. She’s putting the kids in suspense and when she saw that they could tear up any minute from now, she dips her small spoon into the ice cream to taste.

She gestured for her kids to do the same and they licked their ice cream in a shrugging manner.

Daphne cleared her throat and heaved out a heavy sigh “So I want to start this speech with an apology...” she was saying this when Noah cuts in “Is daddy alive?” He said.

“The thing is... we talked to one of our classmates today called Fred. Other kids bully him because he doesn’t have a daddy and he found out late just like us” Carl explained.
