It’s a Sunday morning, Daphne woke up to cracks of sunlight that seep into her room from the tiny spaces of the shutters, it was overcast on the floor of her room making everywhere glow and lively. It looks so beautiful that she didn’t want to get out of bed.

She removed the bed cover from her body and hugged the pillow tight to her head to enjoy the beautiful view of the rays.

The sound of her phone snapped her out of her mind exploration and she frowned upon the phone vibrating on the side stool beside her bed.

She checked it to see an unfamiliar number calling her, she screwed up her face contemplating on picking up the call or not. On second thought, she knew she hasn’t done anything wrong and she swiped the green button to accept the call.

She placed the phone on loudspeaker but didn’t say a word until a voice rang out from the other end.

A voice that sends shivers down her spine and made her hair spark upward despite the hot air.
