Chapter 54
Cheyenne’s POV
I led the warriors to the bottom of the mountain. There was a decent sized clearing but before walking out into it and making ourselves easy targets I stopped about 10 feet from it. I told all the Alpha’s to hold their ranks back and that I was going to check it out. That’s when I mind linked Jax.
“Where are you guys?” I opened the link.
“We are making our way down the mountain. Should be seeing us in about 30 seconds.” He said before cutting off the link.
He was right, it was 10 seconds later I heard twigs snapping and leaves rustling coming from in front of me. I looked back towards the woods to signal to hold their positions and to not move in until told to do so. Just then the footsteps stopped causing me to look back in front of me but nobody was there.

Cheyenne’s POV I’ve been back home for a week now, and so far everything seems to be going good. The lycans have been adjusting to life outside the mountain, and the wolves have been very welcoming to them. Some have even found their mates already. Cheyenne’s POV I woke up the morning feeling sore down there, but still completely refreshed. I laid on Gunner’s chest and listened to his heartbeat. Cheyenne’s POVI was sitting in Alpha Nik’s office with Alpha Brock sitting next to me. I knew it was killing Gunner not to be here but that was Nik’s call not mine. We had talked about my mother’s punishment first and I told them about the command I put on her. Would it work or not, I didn’t know how long it would work for but it was worth a try. Alpha Brock agreed to let her come back on the condition that my dad wanted her back. Cheyenne’s POVI was awoke by kids laughter outside. My eyes fluttered opened adjusting to the sunlight coming through the opening between the curtains. I reached across the bed for Gunner but the bed was empty. Instead there was single yellow rose with a note on his pillow.Babe,You looked so peaceful sleeping, I didn’t want to wake you.
