Chapter 44: Reconciliation
I immediately returned home after learning that Mom and Dad called Liam over. I knew this was their bait for getting me back at our house, but I didn’t care. I wouldn’t let them do something to him. I tucked the Panthers cropped top lower to my abdomen and pulled my skirt up to hide my belly-button. Tying my hair to a high-ponytail, I watched as our team prepared for the competition today, as they all scattered around and yelled at each other back and forth.
