I immediately returned home after learning that Mom and Dad called Liam over. I knew this was their bait for getting me back at our house, but I didn’t care. I wouldn’t let them do something to him. I didn’t know what was the deal with him, but I wasn’t happy about it. My gut was telling me something that a horrible thing might come and I wasn’t ready for it.
Liam and I had arrived in the Golden Gate Park and we were now strolling along the pavements beside the blooming flowers that stretched to the other border. Our fingers were intertwined, and our arms were grazing at each other as we looked straight ahead. I’d never thought San Francisco had one of the best dating locations. I had never got a chance to explore all the places in California because I was stuck in Los Angeles and my parents wouldn’t let me travel this far. They also hated traveling, that’s why they were stuck up in that city along with us. If we would travel, it was always across the country, never around California nor the whole US itself. I remembered traveling to New York City for a week, Boston, and Philadelphia, I think those were the only cities I had been for my ent
I tucked the Panthers cropped top lower to my abdomen and pulled my skirt up to hide my belly-button. Tying my hair to a high-ponytail, I watched as our team prepared for the competition today, as they all scattered around and yelled at each other back and forth. Amanda was sitting in front of me, fixing her makeup as she held a small mirror in front of her face. She plastered a light makeup that accentuated her facial features as the highlighter made her skin look dewy. I turned to face my locker again and rummaged inside of it to find the body shimmer I had bought at Sephora yesterday and put some on my tanned skin, down to my abdomen to make me look glowing. I wanted everyone to see me, especially Liam. He made time to watch our competition.
Waking up in the morning of my eighteenth birthday felt undeniably relieving. The morning sun had shone on me, as the light, it emanated caused me to be at ease. It was like I had re-lived again, and seeing myself in the mirror with that genuine happiness radiating inside of me, made my skin looked even more blooming like the tulips Liam had shown me at the Queen Wilhelmina Garden. I didn’t know why I felt like a completely different person, but maybe it was because everything was going just right.
Walking down the stairs with the eyes of so many people around me had my knees feeling weak, but I couldn’t help but smile widely from the beauty of this night. Everyone was dressed in their formal outfit, as they looked at me with admiration and surprise. I could tell that I was dazzling under the incandescent light that was drawn directly at me, and they were full of anticipation in every step I took. I did feel like it was my birthday, and I was special at this moment. When my gaze met Liam who was standing at the left side of the staircase, his eyes glinted in them and his mouth was slightly parted from surprise. He was the one who gave this dress to me, and it seemed like he was happy with how I looked right now. My gaze was drawn directly at him, admiring his features because he looked so handsome in his black tuxedo. His hair was slicked back, and the stubble that ran along his jawline was neatly trimmed, making him look even hotter. I was captivated by him, and I felt like drow
The day went by pretty quick and I was at school with Emma and Amanda in the cafeteria. This day was unlike any other days in school because Danny and Mason had distanced themselves from us which I already anticipated. Danny was, for sure, was too focused on his significant other while Mason was self-loathing after learning about my reason for rejecting him. I wasn’t used to them being nowhere around, because we always hung out during lunch, and if not then we would probably be seeing each other during break time. I guess they had noticed their absence too, but they were just to unbothered to budge.
After we’d planned everything, the other day we went to school, we had discussed what we were going to do with the lounge room we were planning on making. We already talked with the principal about it, and she agreed with what we were going to do, but the money that we would be needing to pay for the labor and supplies was on us. So that meant, we would be spending a lot in that lounge room.I couldn’t sleep at night thinking about it repeatedly. I could already imag
I hope every word that came out of my sister
Emma and Amanda both burst out in laughter as I furrowed my brows in confusion. I didn't know what was too funny about Nicholas's involvement in my plan, but I was guessing it
