Chapter 13: Her Uncle and Grandfather (Part 1)

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout at you. I was just really worried." he said and sighed while subconsciously softening his tone. His expression slowly became gentle.

Frost felt her eyes heating up which made her confused. Her frozen heart was suddenly embraced in a comfortable warmth. It was strange yet it was a pleasant kind of feeling. Ngayon lang niya naramdaman ang ganoong pakiramdam. Nakakapanibago.

"I... I'm fine... Uncle." wika ni Frost sa mahinang tono. The word 'Uncle' is the first time Frost uttered that word. She was not used to it. But felt that it was right to call the man in front of him that word. He deserves it. It just seems natural to call him that.

Samantalang nagulat naman si General Valencia sa narinig niya. It was the first time he heard her call him that. So he stiffened for a moment before a smile had blossomed into his face. He was feeling very
