The Intruder

Jessie's pov

"Hi sweetheart."

I froze. I gulped down a bile of nothingness down my throat as he took short strides towards me. My stomach churched as I moved backward on my heels. What's he doing here? I chest heaved up and down as he approved me.

"What the fuck are you doing in my room?" My voice was barely above a whisper as I questioned, my hands curling into balls as my gaze intensified on him. His face embedded a sly smile as he stopped halfway the room, finally giving me the second to let out the breath I didn't even know I was holding.

"I came to pay you a visit." He stated, tucking his hands into his pocket as his eyes began to flip around my room, giving me a sense of insecurity. "Xander sure made this place a paradise for you. Thought you hate him?"

He snapped his head back at me as his query was heavily laced with curiousness. I pressed my lips into a thin line as I found myself retorting, "What does my business have to do with yours? How the hell does that concern you?" I
