Trouble In Paradise

I pulled away from Derek, blushing shamelessly.

"Derek," the voice yelled again, getting closer.

"I guess your presence is needed," I smiled shyly, pushing my hair to the back of my ear as I avoided his eyes. Right now I just felt like burying whoever it was that just interrupted us.

"There you are," the intruder said, joining us by the lake. Derek and I turned to see who it was and man I wasn't disappointed.

"Mirabelle," I frowned and she looked at me, finally noticing me.

"What are you doing here?" She frowned, eyeing me in contempt.

"The same thing you probably came to do, having a decent conversation with the Prince. Things might have gotten a bit more interesting if you hadn't chosen thid particular period to show up," I accused, smiling but my smile was so fake that even Derek could not help but smile in amusement.

"What are you talking about?" Her eyebrows creased into a deeper frown.

"I think you know," I shrugged nonchalantly, loving the way she was getting pissed by the sec
