Quest for power

The travelers helplessly looked at the poor plight of their unlucky brethren as the merpires dragged them underwater. No one was brave enough to dare and act like a hero at this point in time. After all, most of the passengers were just amateur magicians. As a matter of fact, if one would look closely, they would see that most of the passengers were still in their teens. So it was inevitable that their guts were not fully developed yet. Besides, they were mostly strangers to one another that was why they did not see any point in why they would go and put their lives in danger, in the first place for the sake of those people they barely knew. Yes, they did know a bit or two about magic but it was just barely enough to help them preserve their own lives.

The merpires of Isla Delilah served as agents of the Sirens, dragging many sailors and seafarers alike down to a watery grave. It was said that merpires were known to gather at Nymphet Bay for hun
