Elena’s POV

I was sitting in the garden thinking about Damon, I missed him so much but he didn’t let me go along with them to the war when I would have a great addition to the war. All he was saying was that he wanted to keep me safe, understood his worries but I wasn’t a child, I had powers and knew how to use them but he still didn’t let me go.

Now here I was, sitting and thinking about him. I had my worries but I wanted to stay positive and breeed good thoughts. He promised me he would stay alive for me and come back victorious and I hope he sticks to his promise even though I trust him, can never yell what might happen.

It was hard being away from your mate for days, I had not seen his face or hear his laugh, I missed his smile the most. The house was boring without him and I had almost no reason to go out but I had the responsibility to take care of the pack and I was doing my best.
