What happened?
…Rowland POV..
I couldn't believe what had just happened. Not long ago Freya had come back with me, and now she was lying motionless on the ground. It all happened so fast. My heart was racing as I scooped her up in my arms and carried her out of the room.
What had Salena done? What had happened?
I could feel the weight of her body against me, her head lolling to one side. Her skin was cold to the touch, and her color was grim. Blood was seeping from a gash on her forehead, and I knew it was bad.
"Call the meds now!" I yelled at anyone who would listen, my voice hoarse with panic. I needed to get Freya help, fast.
As I made my way through the crowd, people looked at me with shocked expressions. They had no idea what had just happened, and I didn't have time to explain. All I could think about was getting Freya to safety.
