Chapter 31“Go,” Marco said calmly as he focused his eyes on the couple leaving the clinic.“Are you sure? I could stay and just-” Tamara started to protest.“I’m sure. I’ll take care of things here. Just go to the office and see what the contract is about,” Marco replied as he handed her the car keys.Tamra blinked. She was unsure if she wanted to leave Marco alone, but she also needed to get things going in the office, so she gave him a nod.“Alright. See you tonight."Marco left the car, and Tamara took over the wheels. As she drove out of the clinic parking lot, her heart thundered in anticipation of what type of contract David could have sent, and she drove as fast as she could to her company.***“Welcome Miss. I need your decision on some matters,” Kim began to prattle the moment Tara stepped out of the elevator onto her office floor.“Not yet,” Tamara said impatiently as she held up a hand to stop the girl from speaking.“Have the lawyers gone through the Lena Beauty contract
Chapter 32Do we have an agreement?” Tamara asked the red-faced doctor as she leaned back in her seat.“I understand what you want from me,” the doctor said in a deathly quiet voice as he raised his head slightly and stared at Tamara.“What I don’t understand is why you think I would risk my career by agreeing to something so unethical. Is this some kind of joke? I only listened to you because you’re both important people in the business world,” The doctor finished with an affronted look on his face as he stood angrily to his feet.“How about now?” Marco asked smoothly as he placed his small box on the table and unlocked it to reveal the twinkling diamonds and dollar wads inside.“Is this enough to make you agree?” He asked the doctor with a blank stare. The angry doctor froze as his eyes latched onto the box and the treasures inside.“Even if you were to gain fifty more clients like the Windsors and work for the rest of your life, you still wouldn’t make this kind of money,” Tamara s
Chapter 33 Tamara watched from her car with a smirk as reporters lined up outside the LENA beauty headquarters. The video she had Tom release had done it’s job and gone viral. Her meeting with David was scheduled for eleven and it was ten fifty already. Tamara was about to exit her car and brave walking through the sea of reporters when her phone rang. “Hey,” Tamara said softly as she picked up the call. “Was the video you?” Marco’s voice came from the other end of the phone. Tamara swallowed and replied. “Yeah, I had Tom release the video last night,” “What do you think?” She asked nervously as she looked out her car window again. It wasn’t that she thought Marco would disagree, she just felt nervous and wanted his approval. “What do I think?” Marco chuckled excitedly. “It’s brilliant Suta! You’re brilliant! That video is viral and the entire internet is cracking down on David just before your meeting!” A flood of relief rushed through Tamara at Marco’s obvious approval.
Chapter 34 David watched from his office window as Tamara Caraballi entered her car and drove off. He was sure she was ecstatic. The deal they made favored her way too much but there was little he could do. The woman had tenaciously found a way to uproot Chelsea and take her place. Not that David wasn’t pleased with the change. When he started the deal, it was in hopes of seeing Tammy again. Now that she would be working in his office, it was the best outcome he could have hoped for. “HAVE YOU GONE, MAD!’ Chelsea screeched as David winced and dropped down into his chair to brave his wife’s anger. “She humiliated me! And you gave her my company! This is all your fault,” Chelsea angrily flung the contract at David. “Contact that bitch and tell her the deal is off! There’s no way she can be the face of this company!” “Babe, calm down,” David sighed and shook his head. “Calm down? CALM DOWN! David, I'll be a laughing stock on social media if she takes my place!” Chelsea scoffed an
Chapter 35Tamara watched with a smirk as the shock wore off on David’s face and Chelsea flushed red with anger.“Well, let’s get to it, shall we?” She asked as she strolled into the office and sat at the head of the table.“You’re late! yet you’re confidently trying to lead the meeting,” Chelsea snapped.“You don’t have a degree yet you’re IN the meeting,” Tamara replied immediately as she slowly took off her sunglasses.“W What?” David had been sipping water from a glass and coughed in shock as the water went down the rough hole.“I thought we were stating facts?” Tamara asked with a falsely innocent look on her face.Chelsea blushed beet red but remained quiet.“Now that nastiness is out of the way, the new products are arriving soon, and shoot arrangements need to be finalized. Let’s get down to business, shall we?” Tamara asked with a bright smile as she clapped her hands for the meeting to commence.*******“Thank you; that’ll be all.” Tamara gave David’s secretary a polite smil
Chapter 34 “I was looking around and dropped my earring,” Tamara lied smoothly as she gave the camera one last push to ensure it was properly secured and discreetly slipped off her left earring. “Found it!” She stood to her feet with a smile. David gave her a nod and turned back to his desk. “And about our conversation?” “What conversation?” Tamar wore her earring back, wiped her hands on her black pants, and strode back to David’s desk until she was directly in front of him. David’s eyes dropped to Tamara’s lips briefly and he looked back up, but she had noticed and allowed a smirk to grace her lips. “Eh-” David shook his head and stepped back a bit. “About my wife. She’s uncomfortable with the way you treat her,” “I have no problems with your wife, David,” Tamara replied drily. “Then you’ll have no objections to dinner,” David replied brightly. “Dinner?” Tamara deadpanned. Was he being serious? The thought of a whole meal with him and Chelsea seemed like her personal he
Chapter 37 Tamara looked past the waitress leading her and spotted David the same instant he spotted her. “Thank you." I gave the girl a smile and walked up to the table. Where was Chelsea? Maybe the restroom? “Good evening, Tammy." David stood to his feet and pulled back a chair for Tamara to sit in. “Good evening, David. Where’s your wife?” Tamara sank into her seat, and David went back to his side of the table and sat down. "Unfortunately, something came up so she won’t be joining us,” David replied as he hailed the waiter and proceeded to order them some wine. &
Chapter 38 Tamara turned to Marco with a look of disbelief on her face. “Did he just—” “Yeah. He’s a bastard." Tamara shook her head slowly. “You know, I almost feel bad for her. At least when we were together, he wasn’t cheating or ridiculing me about getting pregnant." A look of pity washed over her face. “The relationship might have been fake, but at least it was better than this,” “Don’t bother feeling sorry for her; I have some more news about Chelsea." Tamara watched in surprise as Marco picked up a brown envelope from the table and handed it over to her. When had Marco done extra interrogation on Chelsea? “Go on." Marco took a seat and gestured at the envelope. “Open it." Tamara bit her lip nervously as she dropped to the sofa beside him and spilled the contents of the envelope. “I…I- don’t understand,” Shock washed over Tamara as she turned to Marco, wide-eyed. “What is this!” Tamara’s hands shook as she surveyed the contents of the envelope.
