Chelsea frowned as David went silently past her into the bathroom.

The defeat of the day was still sore in her memories and David wasn’t heling matters.

He had always been like this. Quiet, unless he has someting important to say and yet it had never bothered her. She knew he loved her and she was happy about their mariage but the last three months had felt more like living with a business patner than her husband.

And Chelsea knew deep in her bones, that a child would bring them closer together. Since the incident, David had not once expressed displeasure at the fact that Elena was pregnant when she died.

But she knew, it was only because he had expected to have a baby with her, right away. And now, here they were, over a year since their marriage and despite the vitamins and supplements she had taken, Chelsea was still not pregnant.
