SCARLET POV

The drive to the hospital took forever because I kept getting distracted. I just didn't understand Raphael. What did he want to hear from me? That he was right and I was indeed Eve.

Did I want to reveal such a thing though, especially when I wasn't done with making both Margo and Miguel pay for what they did to me... And whoever the other woman was.

Shaking my head to dispel all the migraine-inducing thoughts, I came out of the car and walked toward the entrance to the hospital.

The feel of my phone buzzing in my bag made me stop. Stepping to the side so I wasn't standing at the entrance, I took out the phone and read the text.

"I must say, blood red is really your color. I'll have you wear the prettiest things when you are mine" I mumbled the words, then glanced up and looked everywhere, my hands clenching my phone tightly.

Where the hell was Pierce and how was he evading all the guards that I kept around to watch over me?

I stared down at my phone then deleted the messa
