CHAPTER EIGHTY-FOUR

Marcel stepped out of his car as he paced by the roadside. Placing his hand on his head, he looked devastated.

Looking around as he waited for someone, it was already thirty minutes, yet there was no one going in his direction.

"I'm sorry for the delay... something came up," a lady voiced out as Marcel turned around.

He groaned, walking up to her and closing the space between them. "Why were you not time conscious?"

"I hate it when a person doesn't keep to time... you should know that!"

"I'm sorry," Candra apologized as she took steps backward, avoiding his feisty gaze.

Stretching his hand towards her, he grabbed her neck, turned around quickly with the help of the vampire's speed, and pinned her to his car.

"Why did you do otherwise? Why didn't you work according to plan?" he yelled as Candra held his hand, trying to pull it away.

"Let me down... Let me down now!" she ordered, squinting her eyes and gasping for air, ignoring his questions.
