CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN

"I can't believe he left me for her," Candra said, her voice trembling. "I gave him everything, and yet he still chose her over me. He rejected me because I was a nobody."

Candra sat by the counter table in a dimly lit bar. She slammed her glass down on the table and began to click her nails on the glass.

Looking over to her side, she's awed: "Angel, what are you doing here? You are not the type to be seen in places like this." Candra said, narrowing her eyes, when she saw Angelica standing beside her, making an order, with her raven locks cascading down her shoulders.

"My life is so fucked up, I just need to take a break." Angelica chimed in.

"You got a perfect life, and you are still not okay? Bitch, you've got Gavner at the tip of your fingers, so what else is your problem?" Candra scowled.
