Lumiére's POV

The car ride was quiet. Lumiére noticed that Arin seemed lost in his thoughts, so he decided to remain silent until they reached their destination. As they drove past, he looked out at the scenery.

The last few months had been really tough for both him and the vampire community. There were incidents of vampires killing humans, which they now knew who was responsible. On top of that, there was a troublesome religious cult on a mission to hunt and kill vampires.

As if that wasn't enough, strange things had been happening to Lumiére as the full moon approaches, the council forcing him to chose a bride. And now, they were on their way to rescue three scout vampires they had sent on a mission.

Arin moved and picked up the tablet from his lap, turning it on. The red beeping dot on the screen indicated that the ones who had taken the vampires were still on the move. Lumiére wondered how far north they were going.
