A Strange Presence

Killian's POV

Seeing how furious I was, Beta Dayton wasted no time turning on the car's engines, and we headed straight for the pack's club, just as I had ordered him to.

It was best he took me there rather than questioning my decisions.

As he drove, I couldn't help but think about what had happened back at the hall. Everyone was against me; everyone hated me. My fist clenched as I thought about how they spoke to me.

And to make matters worse, Chief Han was there. He was part of them, in their midst, and would stop at nothing to bring me down.

“How dare you be so cruel to Chief Han? How dare you?” I uttered in a deep voice, my eyes fixed on the window.

We passed so many buildings, and still, the thoughts didn't stop coming, slamming into my mind. I wished I had punched him in the face to show him how it feels to be humiliated that way.

“Alpha Killian, we will be getting back late if we head to the club! Should I still continue?” Beta Dayton asked one more time, but I didn't respond to
