King Eric’s Pov

“Good day mom.” I greeted ny mom and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. It’s been three days now since my mom and I had a conversation after what happened the last time when we were having dinner.

“Look who decides to greet his mom today.” My mom said out loud trying to annoy me as usual.

“Mom, not today.” I said to her tiredly and gulped the bottle of water angrily. My mom smiled when she heard what I said.

“So, what have you been up to?” I dropped the bottle of water on the table and sat on the chair to finally have a conversation with my mom.

“Nothing much.”

“Still searching for her?” I sighed when I heard what my mom asked me, why is she bringing up this conversation again?

“Mom, can we not talk about it?” I said to her politely so that we wouldn’t start another back and forth that’ll lead to a stupid misunderstanding like the last time.

“If you say so.” I was surprised she didn’t put up a fight this time, it’s hard to know that my mom didn’t
