PRESENT.

“You are right. Allow me to end this misery for you.” Darius breathed out, curling my hands in a fist.

After torturing my body to show he had captured me, I pinched his nerves and he grabbed the bottle, broke it.

“Do it… release me. I am not dying to live anyways.” I scoffed, not removing her eyes from him as he approached me slowly.

He was determined to end me, to kill me and free both of us from this anguish.

“Goodbye, Athena.” He breathed out.

“And beside…” I looked away for a second and decided to hit him where it hurts the most to steal the breath from his soul with a hysterical smirk.

“When your hands didn’t hesitate to kill ‘our’ child then why would they stop before hurting me?”

The second those words left my lips, his eyes widened. I could sense the hint of hesitation and agony which flashed in his eyes.

All the memories he buried flashed before his mind and the bottle fell from his hands with retreating steps.
