“Are you feeling cold?” Jake asks in a concerned tone. I see him taking his coat off. “Here” He places it over my shoulder.

He is so considerate, I really forgot to bring my own sweater, I am glad he is here. But I wasn’t feeling this cold just a while ago, I guess maybe it’s because of the open car. Because I don’t think there is another explanation.

“Is that an elephant?” I say pretty loudly, all excited. I have seen all kind of animals, but I have never seen an elephant up close.

“Yes, it is.” Jake answers me. I completely forgot that he was right next to me.

‘Girl, stop lying to yourself.’ My subconscious shames me, making me smile a little.

We spend the whole day just seeing the animals and stopping for some photos where it isn’t dangerous. The day turns great for me, and with Jake by my side, it becomes more interesting.
