FIGHTING FOR THE KING'S DAUGHTER

Xavier struggled to get himself out of the stranger’s grip without result. The night was dark and the sky was starless. The only source of light available was that of the crescent moon that was shining above them and even that was not enough for Xavier to make out a face.

“Let go of me,” he grunted, struggling to free himself from his grip.

“Not until you tell me who you are and what you are doing with the princess,” the voice grunted back. “Now you’d better start talking. You’re going to get yourself into a lot of trouble if you don’t talk.”

“He’s with me,” Rhea said. “Let go of him immediately.”

“Why should I let go of him?” the voice grunted back. “Or even you? Your father has put out a large bounty on your head and I’m looking forward to getting that bounty.”

Rhea and Xavier exchanged quick glances under the cover of the darkness and they both turned to face the Lycan that had accosted them.

“What bounty?” they chorused.
