WHEN DUTY CALLS

Xavier stared at the screen of his phone in shock as he read the message that popped up and from the expression on his face, they all knew that there was a problem. Jimin was the first to react. He steadied hos reins and whipped at his horse to go faster and when he had caught up with Xavier who had preferred to move ahead of them on foot, he stopped and climbed down.

“What is the matter, Xavier?” he asked as he peered at the phone screen to see whatever it was that made Xavier stop walking so awkwardly. He stared at the screen of the phone and he read the message himself. It was from Elder Obada.

“News has just reached me from the Mountain Ghost Pack. The Lycans attacked about an hour ago and have managed to close them in. I would advise you change your route and head to the other packs first. Fighting with Lycans less than an hour into your journey would not be the best option for you and your men.”
