KYLER'S POV— 54

It's a sunny afternoon, and the tournaments are finally ending. We've received so many positive results towards Isabelle as my queen. The commoners and nobles seem to love her more than me, which I enjoy. That's my goal, and I am finally achieving it, seeing her being adored by them.

My study has become more crowded with Nash and Cade around. They are my closest, and it's best, although I want to assign Nash as Isabelle's bodyguard since we haven't caught the assassin yet— but Nash talks a lot, which bothers me. He would get so close to her and eventually won't stop until he spills all my plans. He has a weak spot for the woman I adore– Henrietta. Victoria has been on the low, quiet, and not even making a move. I know she won't last for long, and that's when I tend to strike.

"Isn't it weird? Her Majesty seems to have more fun with Leonard?" Nash's useless talk interrupts me, and I look behind and find Nash and Cade by the window with a cup of tea in their hands while they peep at Isa
