CHAPTER 29

Morning came, the sun rising up, tiredness catching up with me as I shifted my weight from foot to foot wanting nothing than to go to bed as I leaned on the king's  shoulder.  My eyes flickered close only to open again. We had just waved goodbye to the last official, thanking everyone for coming as one by one the people left. I was tired and not being able to wait to get home. I sighed, wrapping my arm again which had just been slipping from his. The king stood tall, talking to someone. His arm was around my shoulder holding me closer, literally burying me in his armpit which I did not mind as I drifted off only for my head to dip back, my eyes shooting open.

My eyes were burning red with my head pounding. That is the prize you pay for partying all night, my whole body aching and sticky, needing nothing but a shower and a bed. I sighed again, hoping he would be done soon because I sure would collapse anytime. I was too tired to care who saw me in such
