CHAPTER 39 PART I

We stood in front of large wooden doors. I could hear the people inside and knew this was it. More tears flooded through, tears I tried but failed to hold. My arms moved around my belly, my heart drumming as my baby was not kicking. Maybe it was a good thing he died on his own other than because his mother had been ripped apart so cruelly. I hoped he found peace, I hoped he had found his way to heaven where he would be singing and dancing with the angels. I prayed he was safe and happy, hoping that one day I would be able to meet him and hold him. There was nothing more I was fighting for. My mate had cast me out and arranged my death and my family had disowned me. Death was all that waited for me but then my mind drifted off to that dark place I had seen and I paled.
