Tell a lie

Antoine reached his home and ran inside. He took a breath of relief once he was inside. Antoine made sure to lock the door twice. He walked in opposite direction looking at the locked door and bumped with something… someone. Antoine was startled and he responded defensively. Isabel founded Antoine in a weird manner. He looked tired and scared. He was acting different.

“What is wrong?” Isabel asked with concern.

“Nothing… I got surprised. That’s it” Antoine said belittling the matter. He went inside in the kitchen and pours himself a glass of cold water. Isabel followed him inside the kitchen.

“What do you mean you got surprised? You looked scared of something besides what is there to get surprised or scared?” Isabel demanded answers from Antoine.

“I did not… I am sorry Bells… my mind was somewhere else so when I bumped onto you, I took it as a surprise. It was nothing else”
