The gun shot
Jerika was sleeping on a simple cot sound asleep. She looked like tired even in her deep sleep. A man walked towards her with handcuffs in his hand. He looked at Jerika who was sleeping like an exhausted creature in the most unsophisticated manner. If it had not been the exhaustion then definitely someone might had guessed that she was intoxicated or something. Some hairs were on Jerika’s face and the man removed the hair and flocked them away behind her ear. Jerika realized in her sleep that someone was near her, touching her. It seems like she was not in as deep sleep as it seemed like watching her. Jerika lazily opened her eyes and scanned the room she was sleeping in. As she was about to get up, the man handcuffed her from her bed she was sleeping in before. This came as shock for Jerika. She did not gather anything which just happened for some time but as soon as she understood, horror spread on her face. She looked up to see who did that to her.

Antoine was standing and looking at Isabel and Daulat whereas Daulat was trying to pacify crying Isabel. Jerika woke up to put off her alarm as put last night before going to sleep. As she tried to stand, she felt a sharp pain radiating in her head and body. She looked for medicine but found none. She realized that’s he has some back in her office. As Jerika fell on the floor, Antoine was dumbstruck. It was Martin who rushed towards Jerika and tried to help her. Daulat peaked inside the room where Jerika was lying. He started at Jerika helpless lying on the bed, breathing with the help of machines. She looked in pain even in her sleep. Daulat flinched at the sight. He knew he could not surrender to his feelings but he was overwhelmed and there was no question about it. Jerika ran inside her house and then inside her room. She opened her cupboard which had a small safe in it. She opened the safe using the code only known to her and there lies a pen drive. She stare at the pen drive intensely and then brought it out as it was time to run away but as she was running to exist, she was startled when she heard a familiar voice. “What’s that?” Brian said looking at the pen drive which was hold tightly in Jerika’s grip.
