Lan and Scarlett stood in front of the elders, in the midst of the old and new. Lan's old pack was by his right while his new pack was by his left.

Jay sat in the middle.

Actually, Lan didn’t know they were going to take so long while trying to bid themselves byes. Well, it wasn’t his fault. He just couldn’t help it.

Jay regarded the couple for a moment as different expressions flickered across his face. Lan didn’t know what he was thinking of but it was at that moment that he wished.

Scarlett was however taking this a bit calmer than she should be. She was really adamant in her decision and had later told Jay that nothing would make her leave.

Silence permeated among them as each was lost in their thoughts.

Jay cleared his throat finally and pulled all the attention back to him. “So, you are the one that has refused to give me my daughter? What did you do to her?” He questioned, shocking Lan.
