Chapter 40 Sawyer has a werecat mate?

Raija's pov

Placing my hands on my abdomen I suddenly felt an enormous amount of urgency to save my mate.

"My child will have his or her father unlike I did growing up!" I vowed firmly to myself. Proceeding down the hall of the infirmary I continued to call out Sawyer's name. I noticed Atticus disappearing into an exam room with Wyatt along with a group of orderlies to fix Wyatt's injuries.

"Why didn't you know that I was pregnant, wolf?" I questioned Rinn curiously.

Rinn whined, "I have never carried a pup so I didn't know."

Frowning I continued down the narrow corridor calling out for Sawyer and finally heard him saying that he was in Nick's room. Seeing him peeking his head out of the cracked door he hushed me rudely.

"He is finally sleeping soundly so shut your damn trap," he snapped.

"Why are you being so mean to me?"

I felt my body quivering from emotional turmoil.

Shaking his head, Sawyer stepped from the room, wrapped his arms around my waist, and laid his head on my chest
