Victory is Sweet

Rain’s POV

My mate was absolutely magnificent. I loved the fact that he was able to protect me and win the the challenge against Gaz. I could feel his happiness through the mate bond. I was amazed that he literally shifted into a lycan. That was unheard of now days. The lycans have long since been extinct like I had believed the dragons were. Now I knew better. I felt like Gaz had lied when he said that there was only Syndel, Willix, and now me. I knew I wanted to do a search of my own. Now that the challenge was over and Selwyn and I had our fun time making love outdoors and taking a run, I knew that we would need to prepare for the changes coming. I knew he wouldn’t be able to run his pack and be king. I wondered what he would decide when we got back to the pack today.
