——*Kennedi's POV*——
Yes!! I was so surprised this morning. I shouldn't be but I couldn't believe Elias kept his word about the breakfast. We actually had a hearty breakfast the next morning which wasn't typical anymore since Florence wasn't here anymore. It was nice.
We talked to each other about our feelings, each other's actions
——*Kennedi's POV*—— He was just a liar. He didn't care about me. Even though I know that's a lie, that's exactly what I always tell myself. I knew with all my heart that Elias cared for me. He may care for me more than he cares for himself. Maybe, just maybe.
————*Elias' POV*————It’s been over a week. I guess she was still angry. Whenever we returned home, she didn't even look my way. I still hadn’t apologized but she made it so hard for me to do so. I tried with everything in my power to take Evern’s advice, but every time I tried, I heard a door slam. Kennedi doesn’t make things easy.
————*Narrator's POV*————Elias was about to answer Kennedi's question, but there was sudden knock at the door. They weren’t expecting anyone at this time of night. He went downstairs to answer the door. To his surprise, it was Florence and she was bloody. He knew because he smelled the metallic scent. "Hm, why is she here so late," is what he thought.
————*Elias' POV *————A war, huh? If they wanted war, then they could get a war. If they ever thought they could take Kennedi away from me and from her friend, they had another thing coming. No one takes anything away from me.
——*Kennedi’s POV*——It felt like we were going up the stairs. I was so tired after Elias' rant. We all made up and laughed the rest of the night. I fell asleep in Elias' strong arms. I didn't want to let go, so he took me along with him to the study.
————*Elias' POV*————I waited for unexpected attacks. They wouldn't be surprise attacks if I was expecting them but whatever. I trained my pack even more intensely. I even put Kennedi into a training class with Matt, the Lycan.
——*Kennedi’s POV*——There was a war coming and Elias had just informed me that I'd be staying with the Lycans for a couple of days. I was puzzled at first as to why I had to go, but then he explained why.
Note: An unknown POV will kick in after Kennedi’s POV. It builds mystery and reveals insight for non-main characters. Also, it helps build onto language and intensifies the dramatic irony. Shall we begin?——*Kennedi’s POV*——
