We all sat with our drinks as James mingled through the group of women and men that hung around the gathering pit as they chugged down drink after drink of wine and ale. There seemed to be no code of respect or boundaries, as he would flirt and grab the ass cheeks of most of the women whilst their mates stood close by. In fact, they all seemed extremely forward with one another. I noticed one man with a bonding ring on his finger kissing the lips of one woman, then moments later he was sitting with a different woman on his lap as they flirted and giggled to each other, with his hand running up and down her thigh, and her hand toying with the buttons on his shirt.I kept cringing and shivering from the way they were all collectively interacting with one another, but fortunately as they were all so distracted, me, Caleb and Arnold would sneakily pour away some of our drinks onto the ground after Caleb flashed us a look not to take a sip as soon as they were handed to us. We just watched

“Be faster with your maneuvers. As soon as you see a weak point, you attack!” I advised my new group of trainees. With Caleb’s permission and him sending letters to every household, it was my first day teaching the first lot of female members. Some of them looked geared up and excited to begin, whereas others were a bit more timid. But watching them now in their wolf forms as they paired up and sparred with one another. They were panting as they fought, but I was amazed at how fast they took to my guidance and quickly they learned, but most of all, I felt such a sense of pride seeing our women learn to fight, not just for our pack but for themselves.I consistently shouted instructions to them with a smile on my face from seeing just how capable they all were, and that most of them were so willing to train and looked to be enjoying every minute. For five days a week I get to train all the women here, and I couldn’t wait to see just how strong
“Mmm, if only we were alone right now”. Leo said in a husky voice as he trailed a flower across my chest. Because the sun was warm and shining through the clouds today, we had opted to spend his lunch break lying on the field together. Apart from the guards in the distance at the bottom of the field, it was quiet and peaceful.“Oooh, and what would we be doing if we were?” I cooed teasingly.“Well, for starters, it wouldn’t be this flower touching your skin, it would be my lips”. He replied as his eyes fixated on my cleavage as he continued to move the flower across them, and just that little insight of what we could be doing instead already had my stomach fluttering.“Well, we still have thirty minutes left… how about we quickly go to my house, it’s closer”. I grinned with a wink as I lifted myself up to rest of my arm and kissed his lips. He made a groaning s
Me and Leo sat on the cool grass next to the border wall as the sun had set and the sky was dark and blanketed with stars. To our right, a guard was watching from the high tower, keeping his focus on the camp trees in the distance. It was so quiet with just the chirping on the grasshoppers as I snuggled into Leo’s side hoping that our plan went well tonight.“You’re awfully quiet tonight”. Leo commented in a soft whisper as he put his arm around me.“Yea I know…. I’m just thinking”. I sighed.“What are you thinking about?” “Well, for starters, if I hadn’t been so set on seeing James, then I wouldn’t have put so much at risk. I’m beginning to think that perhaps I don’t make such a good night wolf after all”. “What? Why would you say that?” “Because it feels like I’ve been making too many mistakes”. “What mistakes have you made? I agreed that James should be told how close he was to having his pack attacked”. “But I should have just let Caleb handle it. If I hadn’t have gone, then
I dragged him through the dirt, along the sharp stones, branches and thorns as he winged as my teeth still dug into his flesh and begged for me to let him go, but I knew a man like James and his pack needed a strong enough warning so that me and the other night wolves could be free to roam. The rest of the men all whimpered and didn’t try to retaliate as we led them all back to their land. We finally reached the border at first light as the ground beneath us now lay frosty and the grass was damp but the forest around us smelt fresh and earthly rich.We stopped at their dilapidated fence, and I glanced back at the night wolves to make some noise and they all howled together to alert Clemonte of our arrival. Moments later, James and a gathering of his men came out from his pack house walls and stopped at the top of the field, looking at us with apprehension. I dropped the man from my mouth and growled and he didn’t hesitate to try and scramble to his feet as he clutched his shoulder. He
I had to get out! The sun was shining, and I was dying for some peace and quiet, especially after what happened at breakfast... dishes and glass being chucked across the kitchen again! I had locked myself in my bedroom the moment the commotion started, and I didn't bother stepping out until father had managed to calm the situation. But the sun beaming down on my back just fed a calmness into my soul that I needed, and I focused on that small delight whilst I sketched the pretty black raven in front of me. He seemed to be enjoying the sun just as much as I was, he was happily basking, curiously bopping his head around to watch me. Perhaps he found this part of the woods just as peaceful as I did... The sun rays glistening on the clear lake behind us and the sounds of the grass and leaves gently flowing in tune with the warm breeze. His feathers looked polished and soft, thick and strong, ready to carry his whole body wherever he wished to go. I envied him, in fact, I envied all creatur
“I love the colours, very vibrant Raven. I’m looking forward to seeing it when it’s finished”. Professor Colin commented as he stopped at my easel.“Thank you, professor”. I replied as I tried to concentrate on the little flower petals I was painting. I was a little perfectionist when it came to my art. Although I wasn’t ‘out there’ and overly imaginative like the other students, creating weird and different images all mixed together. I was always more of a nature girl, anything scenic like a meadow, or a deer standing under the trees in the rain with its fawn. Or fresh raindrops glistening off of a giant spider’s web. Some of the students here and even when I was at high school would call it boring, but I call it real! Beautiful life!“Five minutes left, Raven”. He informed me as he slowly ambled to observe everyone else’s work.I finished the petals and sat back to look over my work, only to see I still had over a quarter to finish.“Ooh, another field!” Jaqueline ridiculed as she w
