I turned to sneak a look and saw something long and thin in Alex’s hand. Maybe it was a riding crop — no, it wasn’t one of those. It looked more like a teacher’s cane. Not the wooden bamboo kind. This one was a glossy black stick.

“I told you to face the wall,” Alex ordered.

My head snapped back to face the varnished timber.

“Taking into consideration that this was her first offense, and that her intentions were good, I think it warrants ten swats,” Grayson decided.

“Ten swats?” Alex sounded incredulous.

“I’ve deducted more than half given the circumstances. So, that’s five for you and five for me,” Grayson bargained.

I got the impression Alex thought I was getting off lightly.

“We don’t want her to become a sobbing mess before we fuck her now, do we?” Grayson reasoned.

Ten swats are bad enough!

“True,” Alex agreed. “Allow me to go first.”

My breath lodged in my throat as I braced myself. He was going to whip me with that stick, and it was likely to hurt like a bitch.
