Once Ethan was done dealing with the hybrids he had been facing off, he ventured into the forest to look for Sophia. When he found her, she had her hands wrapped around Mia’s throat, strangling her.

Mia’s eyes were bulging while her hands lay limp at her sides, too far gone to fight back. Her clothes were covered in blood and her face was badly bruised and swollen.

Ethan shifted back to his human form quickly and ran to Sophia. “Stop!” he yelled at her. “Sophia, do not kill her!”

Sophia’s eyes were full of hate and fury as she looked coldly at Mia’s face. “She deserves to die.”

“She does,” Ethan agreed, hoping it wasn’t too late. “But not now. She can die after she tells us where the rest of them are.”

Sophia’s brows pulled together, but she did not release her grip.

“Sophia, listen to me. You’ll do whatever you want with her, but we have to question her first. We have her now, and she won’t get away again. She’ll pay for what she did, but we need her alive right now.”
