The battle

Jonathan turned away, satisfied with himself. He lifted his hand to gesture to his warriors to finish the job, but he froze when a mighty roar emerged from right behind him.

Startled, he turned around to face Henry again. He was the one who had roared, and his eyes had turned red while his fangs elongated between his teeth.

Jonathan was taken aback. Even if Henry had not shifted fully, his aura was strong and clearly showed that his wolf was not weak.

How could be so strong when his wolf was weakened by the champignon smell? It made no sense. He was even more shocked as Henry’s warriors who had fallen to the ground got up one by one, appearing to have regained their strength.

“What is going on?” Jonathan demanded. He could still sense the champignon smell in the area. It had always worked, so why was it failing?

Henry’s lips turned up in a scornful smile. “Did you think you could take me down with your dirty poisons?”
