CHAPTER 4: FIESTY

NEXT DAY AFTER THE PARTY

"Goodbye father, mother, and grandfather," said Belle waving to them as she got ready for school.

"Alright, Bella," said her mother.

“Be good now," said her father.

“Do well our beloved one,” said her grandfather George, kissing her on the forehead.

"I love you guys. I will see you later," said Bella.

They all nodded their heads at her.

Belle walked out of the mansion and stepped into the car.

“Oh, how she have grown,” said her grandfather.

When she got to the university, she didn't see Lucy or Adam.

“Odd, they should have been here by now,” thought Belle. She shrugged and continued on walking into the university.

Belle walked around to the front of the university and found the one person she didn't want to see, Bruce Wang. "Why did I have to bump into him?" thought Bella.

Bruce stared at her with his hands in his pocket. He smiled at her.

Belle pretended not to see him and tried to walk past him. As she was about to cross him Bruce said something to her.

"Oh. So, the little beauty pretends not to see me?" asked Bruce. He deliberately walked in front of her, stopping her in her track.

Belle stopped and looked up at him.

Bruce was staring at her. His brown eyes stared at her curiously. "Wow, what beautiful blue eyes," he thought. “Such pretty face, I can’t seem to get enough,” he continued thinking.

Belle nodded in acknowledgement and continued walking away.

Bruce frowned as she didn't say anything to him. Every women always wanted to spark a conversation with him, but for Bella, she didn't even try to glance him. What a strange one she is.

"Bruce," said Wayne. Wayne was Bruce's best friend. He wears glasses and have curly black hair with black eyes. He was a skinny man with a hearty appetite.

Bruce was still looking at Bella.

"Bruce?" questioned Wayne. He was finishing the banana in his hand.

"Huh?" asked Bruce.

"Who are you staring at?"

"No one."

"Oh." Wayne look in the direction Bruce was staring at and saw a beautiful woman. "Are you looking at that woman with the cute ass?"

Bruce frowns. "Stop it. I'm not looking at anyone."

"Okay. If you say so,” said Wayne, shrugging his shoulders.

"Come on.”

Wayne paused he thought that the women looked familiar. Then he realized who it was. "But hey isn't that the one that stole your grandfather's fortune?"

Bruce's frowned deepened. Bella's grandfather and Bruce's grandfather were both in the business industry together. When they parted ways, Belle's grandfather took the plans with him. He took what worked and put it into his corporation. When he became successful, he forgotten about Bruce's grandfather and let him drown in debt from his failing business. He clenches his hand tightly.

"Humph. I will get my revenge. I will first start off with that precious granddaughter of his," whispered Bruce. He walked quickly to his classroom.

Wayne followed him quickly from behind.

Belle finally found Lucy and Adam as she came around the corner. She was glad as they reconnected.

"You guys are here so early," said Belle.

"Well yes. I was having trouble finding my class, so I had Adam help me find my room," said Lucy.

"Oh," said Belle.

"Do you need help finding your classroom?" asked Adam.

"No thanks."

"Oh. Have you been here before?"

Belle caught herself. "No. No, I haven't. But we had a campus tour the other day, remember?"

"Oh, yes I remember."

“You mean your orientation?” asked Lucy.

“Yes,” answered Belle.

When they got into class, Belle was surprised that she had to sit next to Bruce. She didn't remember meeting him like this in her past life, but she shrugged as she couldn't find any extra seat to sit in.

"Class," said Mr. Eli Broom. Mr. Broom is a chubby and bald man. He is smart and talented in business. He took some of his time out of his busy schedule to teach the university some of his skills.

Everyone settled down in their seat.

"This year is a bit different than most, as some of you know we got a big competition against the other universities. It consist of math, science, history, computer, business, arts, and performance,” said Mr. Broom.

The classroom was filled with chatters among each other.

Belle remembered that Bruce had won all of the subjects, thus giving victory to the university. But it was all thanks to Belle for helping him. She was the master mind of helping him obtain those scores, but never took credit for it. However, this time around, she was going to make sure she landed her name on the scoreboard as well. She wasn't going to let him take all of her hard earn work like he did in their past life.

"Hey, you," said Bruce tapping on her seat."

Belle ignored him.

"Little beauty,” said Bruce again.

"Huh? What is it?"

 "Are you planning to enter?"

"I-I'll think about it," answered Bella. She wasn't planning to let him know that she was going to go up against him. She was determined to make her name in this lifetime. She wasn't going to give him the glory that rightfully belonged to her in the first place.

"Oh."

Belle pushed his hand off her desk.

Bruce frowned. "Feisty," he thought.

When class was over, Bruce purposely stepped on her bag. Belle was stuck and couldn't get out of her desk.

"Know this, I'm planning to win the competition," said Bruce leaning into her. He could smell her perfume and see her beautiful face staring straight at him.

Belle frowned and said, "Okay." She kicked his feet and picked up her bag and got out of her seat.

"Ouch. This woman," grunted Bruce. He was feeling his feet aching from his shoe.

"You got yourself a fighter this time," said Wayne.

"Shut up."

Wayne laughed at him.

Bruce stared at her as her silhouette disappeared from his sight.
