Chapter 43

Wesley's POV

We walked deeper into the woods, the rustling of twigs beneath our feet accompanying each step, as we headed towards the scene where the rogue had killed himself.

Arriving at the scene, I watched the guards move around, cleaning every evidence of the scene. Since it was close to the park, it was best not to leave any trace of it, to prevent the pack members from seeing it and begin living in fear.

I sat on a weathered log, trying to shift all my focus on the scene and ignore every nagging thoughts swirling in my mind. I wanted to believe so hard that Tyler was genuinely changed and ready to behave like he should've normally been, not directing unprovoked hate towards me, but with the situation on ground and that we couldn't trust anyone yet, I just had to let go of that thought. Mostly because Eve was my prime suspect and no matter what she does, I was pretty sure Tyler wouldn't go as far as exposing her. He would rather hate me, than expose her, so it seemed our relation
