CHAPTER EIGHTEEN.

Claude’s POV

As I stepped into my house I heaved a breath and looked around. “Seems like nothing changed” I said to Ria who grunted in reply.

“Sweetie, what are you doing back by this time?” I heard my mum's voice and froze, not wanting to turn back to see her face.

She walked up to me and held my hands waiting for my response but I couldn’t seem to say a word.

She was like the mum I had before they disowned me. So bubbly and happy. And I know that she doesn’t even remember anything from my previous life but I still feel upset about it.

“Won’t you answer?” She asked, still looking at me, which made me snap out of my thoughts.

“Oh I have notes of the class so there was no need attending it” I lied and saw her frown. “Your teacher just called me before you came in. Why are you lying and you are acting weird” she said and I laughed.

“Don’t be so tense, mom. You know she doesn’t like me so she is just trying to make you angry with me” I smiled at her and made her sit on the couch.
