CHAPTER SEVENTY FOUR

Claude had the strangest dream that night. She was in an empty space, she couldn’t call it a room as she couldn’t spot any walls or corners. It just seemed like a vast, white, empty space. She was there alone until a voice began to speak. As it is with dreams, she couldn’t remember everything accurately and word for word but it seemed like the voice was warning her. Like something huge was about to happen soon and she needed to find out what it was.

The last thing she heard before she woke up was an urgent instruction to find that witch book that she had misplaced. She woke up drenched in sweat and her heart was thumping fast. She had never had a dream so real and so meaningful.

Who was the owner of that voice? Was that important too? She couldn’t help but wonder as she sat up in her bed trying to get herself back after the dream had thrown her off balance.

“Claude?”

She jumped and all but flew to the roof at the sound of someone call her name. Was she still dreaming?
