Chapter 24: Being a good boy.

The day came faster than expected, l woke up without Rowan by my side and since my arrival here it's unusual.

I didn't bother to move around the house, l just stayed on the bed as a good boy, thankfully breakfast and medicine were saved on the bed.

Those very nice maidens kept hanging their heads mid-air, which I'm certain they may get hunchbacks before they hit their forties.

So respectful!

I didn't bother asking about Rowan's whereabouts either, l just want to keep a happy mind, a free one that would make my face bright and excited.

I sat still that l don't remember when I fell asleep, because moments later, l woke up sweating exuberantly, Rowan wasn't still by my side.

Wait! Did he run away?

I bit my lips meticulously, feeling reluctant to get out of bed. l don't want to waste my energy, l want to be able to get home healthy and not feel uncomfortable in my stomach, or feel jelly in my feet.
