Chapter 22: A Panic Attack

"Shit", Charles cursed angrily, they both stopped.

"Boss an uninvited guest is coming, she's about to barge in any seconds from now", Jack informed.

Not long after they both heard the door bang open, a voice was heard.

"Charles, I'm here," the person announced.

Charles groaned displeased,"it just had to be her".

“That was Rose's voice", Kate thought, confused. “What was she doing here, did she know Charles”, she wondered.

Charles stared down at her; they still hadn't moved from their position.

"You should go see who's there", Kate suggested gently pushing Charles off her.

Charles signed exasperated, he straightened his shirt then looked down at the bulge in his pants.

Kate followed his line of sight then walked up to him, wrapping her arm around his neck. "Am sorry".

Charles placed a chaste kiss on her lips, "it's not your fault, I'll be fine", he assured, cupping her chin.

Kate frowned at his answer but nodded anyway, "you should go, I'll be out soon".
