13. His Love Letter

Minutes had expired and my mind is still puzzled upon the pieces which I attempted to attach to see the picture clearly. It seems that my patience has been consumed by it and I scarcely ponder of what I must do next.

For the nth time, I once more fixed the torn fractions and ordered them into one page. "This is quite complicated," I muttered and shrugged off.

"I should have asked Lorelei to assist me before she could have her leave."

I struggled to feel at ease with the thought of being incapable to assemble the torn portions. Yet before I begin once again, I heard strange footsteps coming on my way. Chills came down my spine and it made me stunned at my location.

I glance at the murky area of the forest and I waited for the footsteps to finally pause. I grasp on my bow and quiver, preparing myself to shoot anyone who would attempt to hurt me. My life has been in danger and nearly everyone around me could be either a traitor.
