One moment she's here, in my arms, lips pressed to mine. The next moment she's in the hands of the paramedics, who are obviously done helping her. Some of the nurses gave me dirty looks that only stopped when I barked out commands. I don't care who they think they are- if I say they have to do something, no one has the right to disobey orders.

I spend about half an hour by the operating room, and I'm already tired of waiting. I can't stand around here like an idiot and do nothing. Whether she survives or not is in the hands of experienced doctors and time. That's all.
