Chapter 41

Her eyes fluttered open as her head leans against the headrest, shaking slightly. She blinked slowly, taking in the blurry view of trees. She was moving, or rather the car was moving.

"Hey, you're awake." She turned slowly when she heard a voice say. She heaved out a deep breath as she recognised the person. It was Hector, sitting behind the wheel, driving the car.

"Hey, where are we going too?" She asked, when all she could see around them was bushes and trees.

"Someone safe." He replied briefly, focusing on the road.

Rieka looked at the backseat, feeling relief wash through her as she sighted Amelia sleeping peacefully on the backseat. She rested her head back on the headrest, taking her gaze to look outside the window.
