Kai’s POV

I could feel the tension in the air as I stood facing Nadia, waiting for her to confess the truth of which I was already aware. All I wanted was to hear her admit her deceit. My heart pounded in my chest, making it difficult for me to breathe.

As I stared into her eyes, searching for any sign of guilt or remorse, I realized she had none, only pretense. At this point, I had run out of patience. She looked stunned as if she couldn’t believe what I had just said.

She betrayed me, lied to me, and led me to love a child that is not of my blood. The thought pierced my chest like a dagger. Yet, I had to confront it and put an end to all the deceit.

“Who is Willow’s father, Nadia?” I asked, my voice icy and stern. She stared at me, her eyes wide and her mouth slightly agape. “What are you talking about?” she stammered, feigning innocence as she always did.

Not his stupid mother. While she’s not as heinous as Nadia, she’s caused him problems all along too.

Alana and Kai could have merged the packs as well. But Alana didn't want to return because the truth about her father truly being a traitor and didn't want the pack members to think poor of her. It was her selfish pride that kept her from Kai as well as Nadia's lieing ass.

Going back to my corner. Wake me when common sense has prevailed again. It was good to see it for the brief moment of realizing that child wasn't his kid. Hopefully it won't be another 18 years before the revisit this and all guilty folks receive their comeuppance.
